A distributor review should end with a plan.

The goal of a business review is not to present every number. It is to reach a shared view of what needs attention and decide who will do what next.

01

Agree the view before debating the result.

Start with the reporting period, definitions and source limitations. Separate known facts from data that is incomplete. A useful discussion cannot start with two versions of the same number.

02

Focus on a few meaningful exceptions.

Choose the accounts, products or territories that deserve a closer look. Compare trends with the commercial context. Ask what changed and what evidence would help explain it.

03

Connect a priority to an owner.

For each agreed action, identify the owner, the next checkpoint and the information needed. Distinguish a decision from an investigation so the team knows what completion looks like.

04

Close the loop at the next review.

Open the next meeting with previous commitments. Note what happened, what was learned and what needs to change. A short action log can be more useful than another page of charts.
